Colin Morgan plays the lead in this drama series as Nathan Appleby, a Victorian psychologist, while Charlotte Spencer stars as his young wife, Charlotte Appleby. Set in Somerset, England, in the year 1894, the story follows the couple as they stand to inherit the family estate when Nathan's mother passes away. They decide to move into the old house and begin a new life together on the farm, but not everything is as it seems.
