The fourth season of Monk begain airing in the United States on USA Network on July 8, 2005. Like the previous seasons, the first half was aired in summer 2005, while the second half begain airing on January 13, 2006. Additonally, a Christmas special was aired on December 2, 2005, inbetween the two sets of episodes.
The fourth season was released on DVD on June 27, 2006. It includes four discs with a total runtime of 686 minutes. The fourth disc includes the special features The Monk Writing Process and Jon Perkins Behind the Scenes.
