All Hail King Julien is an American animated television series that stars King Julien, Maurice, and Mort from DreamWorks Animation's Madagascar franchise and takes place in Madagascar before the events of the first film, making it a prequel.
All Hail King Julien was the second TV series in the Madagascar franchise that debuted on Netflix on December 19, 2014, with the fifth and final season premiering on December 1, 2017. The series is a prequel, taking place before the events of the first film.
Uncle King Julien makes one final attempt to take over the kingdom. But romance distracts him, causing him to lose sight of his own evil plan. After Clover announces she'll soon be leaving the kingdom, Julien realizes he'll need an army for defense and appoints himself as a drill sergeant.
