Feb 9, 2006 · Ted (voice by Will Ferrell) makes friends with him, and because he is alone in the world George stows away on Ted's ship and ends up in New York, where Ted is trying to save a museum. This undertaking requires Ted and George to fly above the city while holding onto a big bunch of balloons.
Parents need to know that Curious George is a preschooler-friendly movie based on the popular book series. There are some product placements, some flirting, moral ambiguity, and an emotionally-intense scene in which George is removed -- at the Man in the Yellow Hat's request -- by animal control.
I would give the Curious George show a rating of 6 out of 10 stars. It's a decent show for children and has some enjoyable moments, but it could use some improvement in terms of plot and pacing to appeal to a broader range of viewers.
Curious George is a light-hearted, sweet movie that portrays our little monkey's mayhem without resorting to manic pacing, blaring music or wise-cracking. In fact, the makers deliberately put very little into the movie that is aimed over the children's head and at the parents.
