May 9, 1990. Neil Campbell is now a deputy with the Baltimore constabulary. When his partner is killed during a prisoner's escape, he and Christine go to Toronto to fulfill his partner's dying wish. John makes a golf club for his father's birthday.
While hunting Neil falls through the ice and is saved by a fugitive from American bounty hunters. The Americans shelter at the Campbells, behave boorishly, and refuse to leave. The Campbells must find a way to reach Constable Ames.
