    The anime adaptation of Toriko, directed by Akifumi Zako and animated by Toei Animation, started broadcasting on Fuji Television on April 3, 2011. The anime entered its third year on the 7th of April, 2013.

    A cross-over special between Toriko and One Piece coincided with the premiere on April 3, 2011, counting as Episode 1 of Toriko, and Episode 492 of One Piece. A second cross-over episode aired on April 8th, 2012, counting as Episode 51 of Toriko, and Episode Episode 542 of One Piece. A third crossover episode, this time including DBZ, aired on the 7th of April, counting as Episode 99 of Toriko and Episode 590 of One Piece.

    The first DVD compilation was released on August 2, 2011, with individual DVDs being released monthly. In 2011, Funimation Entertainment announced that it has licensed Toriko for streaming in North America within four days after the Japanese broadcast. It premiered on Hulu and Funimation's official website on April 14. Starting with episode 3 on April 20, the series was rescheduled to stream within three days after the Japanese broadcast.

    FUNimation has licensed Toriko for Home Video release. The first dual-language DVD is set for January 8 2013, the second for February 5 2013 , the third for March 19 2013, and the fourth for May 7 2013.

    Season 2 uses 4 pieces of theme music, 1 opening and 3 ending. Opening theme (serves as the series' 2nd OP theme), Goushoku My Way!!, by Akira Kushida, starts from episode 99 onwards. The eighth ending theme, spanning episodes 100 to 111, "Akai Kutsu", is performed by Salley. The ninth ending theme, spanning episodes 112 to 123, "Tautology", is performed the dresscodes. The tenth ending theme, Believe in Yourself!, by palet, starts from episode 124 onwards.
