  5. Feb 2020. This is a great place that cares for birds of all sorts - often large ones. We saw owls, eagles, vultures, emus, hawks, cranes. It is about 18 miles west of St. Louis off Hwy 44. They have an asphalt trail that is an out and back - probably 1/2 mile long or so - lots of cages were Eagle Scout projects.
