    The second season of RuPaul's Drag Race premiered on February 1, 2010, on Logo, and ended on April 26 of the same year. One of the contestants to compete on this season was determined by an audience vote via the show's official website. In late 2009, the results were announced and the contestant to win the most votes was Jessica Wild from San Juan, Puerto Rico.

    The winner of Season 2 received a lifetime supply of NYX Cosmetics and was the face of nyxcosmetics.com, an exclusive one-year public relations contract with Logo Drag Race tour, and a cash prize of $25,000. Beginning with this season, each week's episode is followed by a behind-the-scenes show, RuPaul's Drag Race Untucked.

    The winner of the second season of RuPaul's Drag Race was Tyra Sanchez, with Raven placing as the runner-up and Pandora Boxx winning Miss Congeniality.

    On October 1, 2012, it was announced that Sahara Davenport had passed away due to health complications. The first episode of All Stars 1 which featured several of her fellow Season 2 contestants as well as her partner, Season 3 runner-up Manila Luzon, was dedicated in her memory.

    •Jujubee is the first and only contestant to make it to the Top 3 without winning any of the maxi challenges. She is also the lip-sync assassin of Season 2, having eliminated Sahara Davenport, Pandora Boxx and Tatianna.

    •Episode 8 marked the first time that a contestant won two consecutive challenges. Raven accomplished this feat.

    • Gone with the Window. S2 E1. Feb 1, 2010. Twelve new queens arrive to compete for the title of America's Next Drag Superstar. In the premiere episode, the queens must reinvent their drag looks using only a set of curtains and household items.
    • Starrbootylicious. S2 E2. Feb 8, 2010. The dolls make it rain when they compete as burlesque dancers at a hot Hollywood nightclub and weather an unexpected twist.
    • Country Queens. S2 E3. Feb 15, 2010. The queens split off into teams to film a country-fried commercial directed by Kathy Najimy who's joined on the panel by extra special guest judge country music legend Tanya Tucker.
    • The Snatch Game. S2 E4. Feb 22, 2010. The dolls compete in a star-studded tv game show where they must pull out their best celebrity impersonations. RuPaul is joined by guest stars actor Alec Mapa & red carpet diva Phoebe Price.
    • Shangela. Shangela may have been the first queen to be eliminated from season 2, but that hasn't stopped her from becoming one of the most recognizable queens to come from the show.
    • Nicole Paige Brooks. Nicole Paige Brooks from Atlanta, Georgia, stuck with fans even though she went home earlier than most wanted her to, but her early elimination didn't deter her drag career.
    • Mystique Summers Madison. Mystique Summers will always be remembered for her fight in Untucked with Morgan McMichaels and her confidence in herself as a plus-size queen, which wasn't commonplace on the show then.
    • Kylie Sonique Love. After being sent home on the first edition of Snatch Game, it was unclear what the future held for Kylie Sonique Love. When it was announced she would be strutting her way back to the main stage for RuPaul's Drag Race, All Stars 6 fans were most excited to see how Kylie had evolved as a performer.
