Three Up, Two Down is a British sitcom starring Michael Elphick and Angela Thorne that ran from 15 April 1985 to 18 June 1989. It was written by Richard Ommanney.
Three Up Two Down. Nick and Angie, a married couple, live with Angie's snobbish mother Daphne and Nick's cockney father Sam in adjacent flats. The contrasting personalities of Daphne and Sam, forced to coexist, drive the situational comedy.

Nick's father Sam, recently made homeless, is keen to move in but, unbeknown to him and Nick, Angie's mother Daphne also arranges to take the flat to be the child's nanny. Daphne is refined and hypercritical. Sam is down to earth and unassuming.
Finding it difficult to decide who should take the flat, the widowed grandparents are forced to share. After their initial spats, the in-laws become rather fond of each other and...
