Not even a week has passed, which makes this situation all the more serious. The inmates are lusting for blood, and Billy is essentially lamb to the slaughter. Nov 8, 2021 · Contains spoilers for 'American Rust' Episode 9 'Denmark' Showtime's whodunnit murder mystery 'American Rust' was all about Del Harris (Jeff Daniels) and the lengths he would go to make sure the woman he harbors feelings for wouldn't shed a tear for the wrong reasons, even if it meant he would have to get his hands dirty.
For a very basic overview, "American Rust" is kicked off by a murder mystery, of sorts, perpetuated by young men Billy (Alex Neustaedter) & Isaac (David Alvarez). Town sheriff Del Harris (Daniels) is on the case, but also in a burgeoning romantic relationship with Billy's mother Grace (Maura Tierney), complicating all the proceedings.
