George H. Masterson (brother) Emma Anna Masterson (sister) Edward John Masterson (September 22, 1852 – April 9, 1878) was a lawman and the oldest brother of the American West gunfighters Bat Masterson and James Masterson .
Ed Masterson was born in Canada and moved to Kansas in 1871. He became a buffalo hunter and later a marshal in Dodge City, where he was shot and killed by a cowboy in 1878.
