Christopher Robert Browning (born May 22, 1944) is an American historian and is Professor Emeritus of History at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC). A specialist on the Holocaust, Browning is known for his work documenting the Final Solution, the behavior of those implementing Nazi policies, and the use of survivor testimony.

Christopher Robert Browning is an American historian who specializes in Nazi Germany and the Holocaust. He is an Affiliate Professor at the University of Washington and the author of several books, including Ordinary Men and The Origins of the Final Solution.
Professor Christopher R Browning received a Ph.D. and an M.A. in history at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. During his fellowship at the Museum, he was the Frank Porter Graham Professor of History at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
