Jan 8, 2023 · Joachim I. ( Nestor ), Elector of Brandenburg, was born February 21, 1484 in Cölln an der Spree (today's Berlin). He was the son of Johann von Brandenburg and Margarete von Sachsen. He died on July 11, 1535 in Stendal. In 1502 Joachim married Elisabeth of Denmark, daughter of Hans, King of Denmark, and Christina von Sachsen. They had 5 children:
