Joseph D. Neguse (/ n ə ˈ ɡ uː s / nə-GOOSE; born May 13, 1984) is an American lawyer and politician serving as the U.S. representative for Colorado's 2nd congressional district since 2019. The district is based in Boulder and includes many of Denver 's northwestern suburbs, as well as Fort Collins .
Congressman Neguse represents Colorado’s 2nd District. He is the first Black Member of Congress in Colorado state history and the first Coloradan to serve in a senior elected leadership role in the House in over 85 years.
