  1. Artistic gymnastics is a discipline of gymnastics in which athletes perform short routines on different apparatuses. The sport is governed by the Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG), which assigns the Code of Points used to score performances and regulates all aspects of elite international competition.

    The first national team roster was established in 1998.The team has competed at the Olympic Games 21 times, winning six medals.

    Gymnasts can be selected for the national team at the National Championshipsor the Winter Cup challenge. The Men's Program Committee (MPC) is allowed to change the criteria for selection every year.
