Saint-Étienne-du-Mont is a church in Paris, France, on the Montagne Sainte-Geneviève in the 5th arrondissement, near the Panthéon. It contains the shrine of St. Geneviève, the patron saint of Paris. The church also contains the tombs of Blaise Pascal and Jean Racine. Jean-Paul Marat is buried in the church's cemetery.

Bref historique. A l’origine, se trouvait l’église des saints Apôtres Pierre et Paul, construite sous le règne de Clovis et où furent enterrés le roi lui-même, son épouse Clotilde et sainte Geneviève. Elle devint au moyen âge, l’importante abbaye royale du même nom.

Historical account. At first, there was the church of Apostles Peter and Paul, built under the reign of King Clovis who was buried here with his wife Clotilde as well as Saint Genevieve. In the Middle Ages, it turned into an important royal abbey under the same name.
