Poirot’s final case, a mystery which brings him and Hastings back to Styles where they first solved a crime together. Agatha Christie wrote it during World War II, as a gift for her daughter should she not survive the bombings, and it was kept in a safe for over thirty years.
This is the last book in Agatha Christie's Hercule Poirot series, though it was written in the 1940s and structured to be the last if and when the series was going to end. This book reunites a withering Hercule Poirot and Arthur Hastings, who last appeared in Dumb Witness, for one last case.
