Enel unterhielt in der Vergangenheit ein Centro di Ricerca Idraulica e Strutturale (kurz CRIS oder auf Englisch Research Centre on Hydraulics and Structures) mit Büros in Mailand und Mestre. Das Büro in Mestre sammelte Daten, die sich auf Meeresströmungen und Wellengangbezogen. Im Jahr 2000 wurde das Büro in Mestre geschlossen.

Although Enel began life in 1962 as a statutory corporation in Italy, today it is a private company that is present in more than 30 countries. Not only that, it is continuing to expand in new markets and sectors, such as electric mobility and smart cities. All in the name of sustainability.
