Larry Claxton Flynt, Jr. (November 1, 1942 – February 10, 2021) was an American publisher. He published Hustler magazine. In 1978, Flynt was shot in an assassination attempt by Joseph Paul Franklin. That left him paralyzed from the waist down. Flynt had a golden wheelchair.
Mini Bio. Larry Claxton Flynt, Jr. was born on November 1, 1942, in Lakeville, a small isolated community in the hills of Magoffin County, in eastern Kentucky. He was the son of Edith (Arnett) and Larry Claxton Flynt, a sharecropper. He had a sister named Judy who died in 1951 from leukemia at age five, and a brother, Jimmy, born in 1948.
