Weymouth is a city in Norfolk County, Massachusetts, United States. It is one of 13 municipalities in the state to have city forms of government while retaining "town of" in their official names. [3] It is named after Weymouth, Dorset , a coastal town in England , and is the second-oldest settlement in Massachusetts, second only to Plymouth . [4]

- Webb Memorial State Park. At the tip of a green peninsula about half a mile long, Weymouth features the only mainland portion of the Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area.

Today Weymouth is a mature, strongly residential suburb located just south of Boston with close proximity to the crossroads of Route I-93 (128) and Route 3. The community is nicely situated for easy access to Cape Cod and the Greater Boston area. Three MBTA commuter rail stations provide quick transportation into the city.
