Boone (/ ˈ b uː n / BOON) is a city in Des Moines Township, and county seat of Boone County, Iowa, United States. It is the principal city of the Boone, Iowa Micropolitan Statistical Area, which encompasses all of Boone County.

A popular park centered around a wooded canyon with sandstone bluffs rising above a tributary of the Des Moines River. A winding one-way road (which regularly closes due to flooding) runs through the canyon, crossing the stream at several points.
