St. Clair Shores is a city in Macomb County in the U.S. state of Michigan. An inner-ring suburb of Detroit, St. Clair Shores is located roughly 14 miles (22.5 km) northeast of downtown Detroit. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 58,874.
St. Clair Shores is a gem on the water of Lake St. Clair. Residents enjoy a quaint community with local shops, great public events and breathtaking views.
With help from its location along the shores of Lake Saint Clair, St. Clair Shores grew from a resort community to a suburban city rapidly after World War II. Prior to the city's incorporation in 1951, St. Clair Shores was recognized as the largest village in the United States.
