Torrington, town, seat (1913) of Goshen county, southeastern Wyoming, U.S., on the North Platte River, near the Nebraska border. The site, 23 miles (37 km) east of Fort Laramie National Historic Site, was on the Texas and Oregon trails and the Pony Express route.
