   Review by Barry Daulton ★★★★. A movie that is just as much about how players have to deal with the media as it is about the legendary HR chase of 1961. Pepper and Jane really seem to capture Maris and Mantle perfectly. The special effects are still decent if not dated a bit, but were great for the time.

   • Maris never seemed to get the respect he deserved, but his fortitude garnered him a place in baseball history. 61* would of course become 61 and then later shattered and surpassed by another home run chase. This movie deserves being ranked among the elite of sports movies and one of the best baseball flicks ever. Pepper is outstanding as Maris.

   Jun 23, 2020 · Here’s my conclusion on the 61 Burstbucker pickups-. They are EXTREMELY sensitive to height adjustments. Maybe more than any other humbucker I’ve ever encountered. A very little adjustment up or down makes a huge difference in tone and in the way they hit the pedals and the front end of the amp.
