Apr 18, 2022 · As anyone who’s read Stoker’s novel knows, it’s a rather dry read, full of drawing room conversations and diary entries and short on action. And without Dracula’s presence, Bram Stoker’s Van Helsing at times more closely resembles a period drama than a horror film.

Jul 2, 2021 · The surprise is that Bram Stoker’s Van Helsing is actually another adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula (1897) (see below for others). And a surprisingly faithful one too. The story begins with Van Helsing being called in by Dr Seward to consult on Lucy’s condition.
