Aug 9, 2024 · The Ohio Lake Erie Commission and Ohio EPA are seeking public comments on a proposal to remove the Restrictions on Navigational Dredging Activities Beneficial Use Impairment (BUI) from the Maumee Area of Concern (AOC). This would be the fourth BUI removed from the initial 10 BUIs for the Maumee AOC.

  3. This Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP) contains elements of the overall project management, data generation and acquisition, information management, assessment and oversight and data validation and usability for the Ohio EPA Lake Erie monitoring program.

  4. The Ohio Lake Erie Commission was established to preserve Lake Erie’s natural resources, protect the quality of its waters and ecosystem, and promote economic development in the region. The director of the Ohio EPA serves as the Commission’s chairperson.
