Derek Deadman was an English actor who portrayed Tom, the landlord of The Leaky Cauldron, in the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. He was replaced by Jim Tavaré for the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
•Deadman played Ringo in 39 episodes of the TV series Never the Twain, between 1981 and 1991.
•He also played a ruthless Sontaran Commander in the Doctor Who serial The Invasion of Time.

- Richard Bremmer as Voldemort. When Lord Voldemort first appeared on-screen in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, there wasn't much for the actor portraying him to do.
- Jamie Waylett as Vincent Crabbe. As Draco Malfoy's pastry-loving henchman Vincent Crabbe, Jamie Waylett did a suitable enough job. The young actor, like many of his contemporaries in the series, was completely new to the world of film when he suited up as the Slytherin sycophant, but he gradually got more and more screen time throughout his six-film tenure and was convincing as the sniveling sidekick.
