Feb 27, 2019 · 1971 ford maverick. After I finished installing the floor shifter, realized that the shifter lever on the tranny (c4) won’t work. It’s in a different position. BUT, I've never seen a car (apart) that had this set-up, so I don't know if there should be a "hump" piece added (like on a 4-speed car) to mount the shifter or if it isn't used.
