Follow That Dream is a 1962 American musical comedy film made by Mirisch Productions and starring Elvis Presley. The film was based on the 1959 novel Pioneer, Go Home! by Richard P. Powell. Producer Walter Mirisch liked the film's song "Follow That Dream" and retitled the picture accordingly.
Imagine The Beverly Hillbillies as homesteaders on the coast of Florida with Elvis in the Jethro role and you've got a pretty fair description of Follow That Dream (1962). Elvis plays Toby Kwimper, a homeless army veteran who settles down with his father and four orphans on a stretch of beach where they can operate a fishing business.
