Peter Hedges is an American novelist, screenwriter, and film director. His novel What's Eating Gilbert Grape was adapted into a critically acclaimed movie of the same title, which launched his film career. In 2002 he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay for About a Boy.
MCC Theater will present a virtual benefit reading of Peter Hedges’ Good as New starring Oscar winner Julianne Moore and Kaitlyn Dever (Unbelievable, Booksmart). Proceeds will go toward the Off-Broadway company and its Be Our Light Campaign as it aims to reopen in 2021, with the board matching two-for-one.
