Plot. Peter Hadley is an overachieving medical student at UCLA. He is given failing grades on his final exam by his professor, who also happens to be his father. Unable to graduate, he becomes bitter and disillusioned.
Summaries. A disillusioned medical student is stranded for a summer in a remote community of counterculture pot farmers, the last place in the world he imagined he would discover himself. Peter is burned out: finishing med school at UCLA, failing the bedside manner class his father teaches, no sleep in days.
