- Read Email from Jaal. Need To Speak With You. To: Ryder. From: Jaal. Ryder, I've received an update on Akksul. It isn't good. Please come see me in my room. Jaal.
- Speak to Jaal on the Tempest. When the Pathfinder enters Jaal's quarters, Ryder overhears part of a conversation between Jaal, Jassana, and Feladyr, two of his mothers.
- Meet Jaal's Resistance Contact on Havarl. Jaal's contact, Avka, is on the shuttle platform in Pelaav Research Station on Havarl, next to the merchant Cody Holdren.
- Board the Shuttle. Speak to the Shuttle Pilot to begin the mission. You can change Loadout if desired. Jaal is a mandatory squadmate for this mission. Note: During loyalty missions, manual saving is disabled for the duration of the mission.
Jaal Ama Darav is an angaran character and a squadmember. A lieutenant in the Angaran Resistance, Jaal comes from an enormous and famous family of fighters. He’s a self-taught modder and tech-head who likes to take things apart in his spare time.

- Enter the Clearing. The Angaran shuttle will drop the squad into a small clearing at the end of a small canyon. Head west and then south through the tight canyon and the area will open up into a large clearing with multiple buildings.
- Search for Signs of Jaal's Family. Proceed down into the first clearing and begin exploring the area. There are multiple buildings with items in each one.
- Defeat the Roekaar. Multiple enemies will spawn and a dropship will fly in as Ryder enters the second clearing. Defeat the enemies. There are multiple areas of cover and there are plenty of supply caches to restore ammo, health, and power cells.
- Return Power to the Door. Scan the ground for electrical wires which lead to a nearby generator.
