Knots Landing is an American prime time television soap opera that aired on CBS from December 27, 1979, to May 13, 1993. The show was created by David Jacobs as a spin-off of Dallas and initially centred around the lives of four married couples living on a cul-de-sac in a fictitious coastal suburb of Los Angeles .

Apr 8, 2020 · John Pleshette (born July 27, 1942) is an American actor and screenwriter, best known for his role as Richard Avery on the television drama Knots Landing, and for portraying Lee Harvey Oswald in the TV movie The Trial of Lee Harvey Oswald. Pleshette also wrote several scripts for Knots Landing in the 1980s.
