Swimming areas at Lake Jocassee are easy to find. You only need to drive around Devils Fork State Park and look for a parking spot at any kayak or beach access point. You don’t even need a kayak to find some great snorkeling spots at Lake Jocassee.
The roads are long and windy to get there, however you won't be disappointed! The lake is gorgeous, with nice sandy beaches (with easy access at Devils Fork State Park), the water was warm (in August) and unbelievably clean and clear. No moss, algae, turbidity, mud etc.

It is home to the current state records for redeye bass, smallmouth bass, spotted bass, brown trout, and rainbow trout.
