Oct 24, 2017 · Plot. Husband and wife Michael and Rachel Young are shocked to discover they have run down their son Jacob while backing their vehicle out of the drive. He dies in hospital. Afterwards they meet a stranger who says he can bring Jacob back from the dead and demonstrates by reviving a dog that Michael has also run down.
It stars Willem Dafoe and Charlotte Gainsbourg as a married couple who experience the accidental death of their infant son, after which they retreat to a cabin in the woods to grieve, where the man experiences strange visions and the woman manifests increasingly violent sexual behavior and sadomasochism.

The premise of "Ominous" is that a Mephistopheles-like character called The Stranger preys upon parents who have lost a child. The Stranger promises to bring the child back to life in return for a promise to "protect" the youngster.
Ominous plot "Something Ominous this way comes." The Callahan family gets ready to embark on a relaxing and fun vacation in the mountains, but never expected to be haunted by their own personal demons.
