   What is out of the Cold?

   • Out of the Cold: Centre County is a low-barrier shelter that has staff working 24/7. Our day shelter is open to the public and community from 8am-8pm. Overnight, we provide shelter to a limited number of individuals who need are currently un-housed. During the 2022-2023 season, 17 congregations helped to provide overnight shelter for 175 guests.

   What happened to the out of the Cold program?

   • As was the case with the Out of the Cold program, much of the food will go to people who are vulnerable but are not necessarily homeless. Beach United and the St. Aidan’s Out of the Cold Program continued to provide hot meals for people through the Drop-in at Teesdale Place and through deliveries to encampments downtown.
