  1. Apr 8, 2024 · Step 7 – Draw the Nose. The bottom of the nose is found at the bottom line of the ear. The region that defines the nose length runs from the bottom tip up to the eyebrows. Noses can vary in length but are predetermined by the proportions of the eyes and mouth. Sketch out the base of the nose and a nostril on each side.

    • Draw a Circle. You can opt to use tools like a compass or a circular cut-out to draw circles. Or, you can just eye-ball it. This circle would be the base of your face drawing and represents the round part of the human skull.
    • Cut out two sides and find the center line. Draw two vertical lines just slightly towards the center on each side of the circle. This is because the human skull is not perfectly round if you look at it from the front view.
    • Find the hairline, eyebrow line, nose line, jawline. First, draw the eyebrow line. You can just draw a horizontal line down the middle of the circle in most cases.
    • Draw in the jawline. Start with the chin. It can be rounded or more rectangular depending on the person. Then connect the base of the chin to the side of the head in the correct shape according to your reference photo.
    • Begin with a circle. First, make a small construction drawing. With the help of some basic shapes, the head, eyes, nose and mouth can be positioned with ease.
    • Center axis. Now we sketch a straight line in the center of the circle. I call it "center axis", because left and right should be more or less symmetrical, as it is in faces.
    • Vertical guide lines. Time for some guidelines: Cut the circle with a horizontal line. We transfer this half circle height downwards to the extended central axis.
    • One more circle. Now we need a smaller circle. Don't worry, we have almost finished construction. The small circle goes from the third line of division to the very bottom.
    • Surprised Face. When you feel surprised, what happens to your face? Your eyebrows raise and your eyes and mouth grow large and round, just like the boy in this picture.
    • Black Girl. This young woman is looking fabulous with her trendy hairstyle, hoop earrings, lipstick, and turtleneck sweater.
    • Easy Lisa Simpson Drawing. Lisa Simpson is a great portrait for beginners because her face is made from simple lines and circles. There is not even a distinction between her face and spiky hair!
    • Easy Robot Face. With glowing eyes, a grill-like mouth, and mechanical eyebrows, the face of this metal man is as emotive as any other character's face.

    • Outline the Face. Begin your drawing by deciding how much of your paper you’d like the face to take up. Using a ruler, draw a horizontal line at the top and bottom of your paper with two vertical lines around an inch from either side.
    • Add the Ears and Hairline. Draw the upper portion of a circle inside the original curve at the top of your page. This will create a hairline for you to work from later on.
    • Mark Guidelines and Start Drawing the Eyes. Across the middle horizontal line, draw five light rectangles. Inside the second and fourth rectangles, draw an oval that overlaps the middle line.
    • Complete the Nose. Continue shading down from the eye along the center guideline and rough outline you already created for the tip of the nose. Shade up into the outline of two small ovals for the nostrils.
