Easy to keep, not aggressive birds and relatively calm demeanour, the Bourke’s Parakeet is one of my favourite parakeets and an ideal parrot species if you want a large aviary with a mixture of small birds. They don’t have particular requirements and will usually breed easily once they are mature.
