The San Pedro Beach Bums is a 1977 American sitcom that aired on ABC. It is about five carefree, young men living together on a houseboat in San Pedro, California . The pilot, titled The San Pedro Bums , originally aired on May 13, 1977.
While attempting to teach some young football fans about fairness and good sportsmanship on the playing field, the bums find themselves in a game against the meanest and dirtiest team in San Pedro. Frank Gifford plays a coach who tries to help the bums win.
Five happy-go-lucky overgrown adolescents lived on a converted fishing boat (called Our Boat) docked in the San Pedro Harbor and spent their time looking at bikini-clad girls, playing volleyball and helping out members of the community in need.
