Roces, who would have turned 81 in July 28, died on Friday evening, her daughter Sen. Grace Poe confirmed in a family statement to ABS-CBN News.
She was the wife of Ronald Allan Kelley Poe, better known as Fernando Poe Jr. Roces was regarded as the "Queen of Philippine Movies" and starred in more than 130 films and television programs. She won five FAMAS Awards, including two Best Actress wins.
