Swabia ( German: Schwaben, Swabian: Schwaabe) is one of the seven administrative regions of Bavaria, Germany. It consists of ten districts and 340 municipalities (including four cities).

Flag sometimes attributed to New Swabia, but in fact was the flag of the Reichskolonialbund and the common flag for all German colonies during the Nazi period (NS was the only "colony"). There is also no evidence that the flag was ever actually flown in this territory.
It is so much more than just a geographical location (with no distinct borders, BTW) that stretches over Württemberg and Bavarian Swabia. Swabia (German: Schwaben ) is a unique culture, has its own “language,” and on top of it all, has been the “hometown” of some of Germany’s most brilliant minds.
