Sep 30, 2021 · While La Push Beach does exist in the real town of Forks, WA, this isn't where the La Push Beach scenes were filmed. If fans want to visit the location where Bella first learned of werewolves and vampires, they'll have to go to Cannon Beach, OR.
- The Cullen House (Portland, Ore.) and the Swan House (St. Helens, Ore.) The movie version of Bella Swan's house is a white clapboard number in the quaint town of St. Helens, Ore.
- Silver Falls State Park (Sublimity, Ore.) Not to throw shade (get it?) on the entire set construction/CGI industry, but Mother Nature does a way better job at building forests.
- Forks High School (Kalama High School, Kalama, Wash. and Madison High School, Portland, Ore.) Our obsession with cool movie schools goes way back, and Forks High is absolutely up there.
- Carver Cafe (Damascus, Ore.) Meyer has said that choosing the town of Forks was supposed to signify Bella's "fork in the road" moment, and we can see that — going from Arizona to Oregon, from Mom to Dad, from girl to woman.
- Edward's Backyard. The other noteworthy "Twilight" scene shot in-state features Cape Horn, WA. When Edward takes Bella on a tree climbing/flying adventure out his bedroom window, they're really soaring through treetops in Skamania County.
- La Push Beach. "It's La Push, baby!" Except it's not La Push — it's Cannon Beach in Oregon. And after the first film, the Quileute reservation beach was recreated again at Incinerator Rock in Long Beach, B.C., for "New Moon".
- Dress Shopping. St. Helens, OR was used as a stand-in for Port Angeles and its shops. If you look through the shop window during the prom dress scene, you'll see the St. Helens city hall, which was also used in Disney's "Halloweentown".
- Vampire Baseball. When the Cullen crew plays thunder baseball, there's a huge waterfall shown in the background. While Washington certainly has its share of amazing falls, the waterfall seen on screen is Oregon's Multnomah Falls in the Columbia River Gorge.
- Clackamas Community College. This college is the film location of Bella and her classmate’s field trip for the greenhouse in the first installment of the series, Twilight.
- Forks High School. The first filmmakers used two schools – Kalama High School and Madison High School – to shoot the scenes in Forks High School. The breakthrough scene when Edward (aka Robert Pattinson) saves Bella’s life in the parking lot and the exterior scenes of the home of Spartans were filmed at Kalama High School, Kalama, Washington.
- Indian Beach. Bella’s friends’ surfing scene on the La Push beach was shot in Cannon Beach in Oregon. This is where Jacob (aka Taylor Lautner) tells Bella about the Quileute legends about the history of wolves and the “cold ones.”
- Vernonia, Oregon. Wauna Federal Credit Union in Vernonia, Oregon, served as the Forks Police Station in all the films of the series. We all can say that Vernonia was the official “Forks” in the Twilight Saga, as most of the scenes were filmed around there – when Edward and Bella return to town from Port Angeles, the scene at the road next to the building.
The ‘Arizona’ scenes were filmed around Santa Clarita in southern California, about 30 miles northwest of Los Angeles. The ‘Phoenix’ hotel in which Bella and the vamps hide out after fleeing Forks is the Hyatt Valencia, 24500 Town Center Drive, Valencia, on I-5 west of Santa Clarita.
