Marla Gibbs, who first shot to stardom for playing Florence Johnston, the sarcastic housekeeper to Louise and George Jefferson on The Jeffersons (1975), got her own series.

Synopsis. 227 followed the lives of people in a middle-class apartment building, 227 Lexington Place (the numerical address in which the sitcom's name comes from), in Northeast, Washington, D.C. The show was centered around Mary Jenkins, a nosy, tart-tongued, but loving housewife.
S1.E7 ∙ The Sidewalk Sale. Rose inherits the building. But after a building inspector drops by, he notes so many violations that it's going to take a lot of money to repair them. So the guys decide to have a sidewalk sale.
