"Alligator" is inspired by one of the most persistent fantasies of recent years: That countless pet alligators, given as gifts when they were babies, were flushed down toilets when they grew too large ... and that down there in the sewers of our major cities, they're growing to unimaginable size.
Alligator takes place in Chicago, in which a giant alligator that was flushed down in the toilet by a little girl's father, years later it terrorizes the city going on a rampage for anything it sees. Robert Forester who plays the city cop is the only one to stop it.
