Aug 12, 2015 · Flanagan was ambidextrous, able to throw a football 70 yards on the fly with his throwing arm, and nearly 60 yards with the other. During Southwest's perfect 13-0 campaign, Flanagan passed for 2,241 yards and 31 touchdowns, rushed for 12 touchdowns and, get this, kicked 60 PATs and two field goals.

He was named AJC Class 2A Back of the Year and a Parade All-American in 1973, when he led Southwest's football team to the Class 2A championship.
