Nov 9, 2021 · The notion of antlers on the creature arose largely from the King novel, which gave it ram’s horns, as well the independent horror movie Wendigo, which placed a stag’s head on the creature. It had no basis in the folklore, but it made for a striking image, and subsequent movies and TV shows ran with it.
