Apr 12, 2022 · Today, Nike continues the tradition of its co-founders, Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight. While Bowerman sold most of his Nike shares in the 1980s, the company carried on his desire to design running shoes that improve performance and comfort for runners at all levels.
He was part of the track and field club under coach Bill Bowerman at the University of Oregon with whom he would later co-found Nike.
