Danna is the F. G. Keyes Professor of Chemistry at MIT. Danna grew up in a small town in upstate New York that might have more cows than people. She took advantage of the remote location by working at Kopernik Observatory, leading instructional programs for children and vying for telescope time on the 12″ reflector.
The Freedman Group applies the atomistic control inherent to synthetic chemistry to address fundamental questions in physics. Within this paradigm, we are creating the next generation of materials for quantum information and harnessing high pressure to synthesize new emergent materials.
Danna Freedman is an American chemist and the Frederick George Keyes Professor of Chemistry at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
