Oct 19, 2023 · Asia’s physical geography, environment and resources, and human geography can be considered separately. Asia can be divided into five major physical regions: mountain systems; plateaus ; plains, steppes , and deserts ; freshwater environments; and saltwater environments.
Most of the region’s people live in the more temperate climate zones. In East Asia, the coastal regions of Central and Southern China, Japan, and South Korea are primarily a humid temperate climate. Southeast Asia is largely tropical with ample rainfall throughout the year.
