Eric Faulkner was born 21 October 1953 as Eric Falconer in Edinburgh, Scotland. He is a guitarist, songwriter and singer, best known as a member of the Scottish pop band, the Bay City Rollers . As a youngster he learned to play the viola and played for a time in a youth orchestra.

The Road to Yair by Eric Falconer. “The Road to Yair” is the first track on the album of the same name. It’s named after a winding back-road between Galashiels and Selkirk in the Scottish Borders, which runs through countryside where my grandfather was a shepherd many years ago.
